Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has approved the proposal to designate Tuesdays as Regional Regulation (Perda) Day to enhance productivity between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the City Council (DPRD) in drafting regional regulations.

The agreement was reached after Governor Pramono met with the City Council's Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) and several special committees (Pansus) at Jakarta City Hall on Monday (11/17). The meeting is part of a coordination agenda held every three months.

He emphasized that every Tuesday, all OPDs are allowed to skip internal meetings at City Hall to focus on regulation discussions with the council.
“I'm giving OPDs permission not to attend meetings at City Hall on Tuesdays. This is so we can adjust to DPRD's schedule,” he added.
Pramono also explained that both the executive and legislative bodies aim to pass between to pass between 10 and 12 regional regulations by the end of the year.
